The Style: ‘To Dye For’ 2013 Resort Collection x Christie Browne

Have you heard of Christie Browne? Well, the luxury clothing brand based in Accra, Ghana has recently unveiled their 2013 capsule collection using a locally-produced print.

Described as “flirtatious and whimsical” the collection, by Creative Director, Aisha Obuobi, was inspired by Grace of Grazie Fabrics in Ghana.  As a local entrepreneur, Grace “successfully built a 20 year old batik/tie dye business”.

Aisha was obviously so impressed by Grace’s use of “complementary of colours to make unique non-replicable prints” that she made it the theme for this collection and I really love it. The print definitely has a sense of whimsy about it.

The good news is that, you can purchase Christie Browne items in the UK from the My Asho online store. Prices appear to range from £40 for accessories to £190 for tailored jackets finished with gorgeous detail.

Comment below and share which of these looks you could see yourself wearing. I’ve currently got a thing for sleeveless shirts so I think I would go for Look No 6 with the shorts.
