Ok before I head off on my travels I have to explain the story behind this photo…

If you follow my blog you know I always have time for some QTip especially The Renaissance album! LOVE it.

So anyway my buddy Jos Boss (not his real name but close) had this ridiculously massive calculator on his desk which bugged the hell out of my inner stationery junkie (who I guess sits in close proximity to the inner nerd I mentioned in my previous post) till I realised it reminded me of a certain someone’s album cover…

So here’s my ode to one of my favourite albums thanks to Jos Boss and a little iPhone photography. Sowadjathink? Not bad eh?

Yay! They finally released the video for Life Is Better, my absolute favourite track from Q-Tip’s album The Renaissance.

I can’t even pretend to be some serious Hip Hop head but until now I’ve never really had a Hip Hop album that’s caused me to replay it so much. I think it’s the renaissance sound it has. There’s so much jazz and funk to it. Pure musical genius and I love it!

So this week I’ve become a tweeter, twitterer, tweep, fully fledged member of the twitterati or to put in plain english, someone who uses Twitter (peep the sidebar for my latest updates).

In doing so I’ve come to ‘follow’ several interesting characters who I’m quite likely to blog about in future, including the cool dude himself, Q-Tip who announced he had been listening to Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack singing that magic track, Where Is The Love.

I had intended to add a christmassy number for today’s throwback track but this song has been so stuck in my head ever since that I thought I’d share it instead. That said, I promise to share my favourite xmas tunes in time for the big day.

The Music: Q-Tip – We Fight Love

You know how sometimes a song can just push the repeat button on your brain and no matter what you do you can’t get rid of it…

It can be so torturous when it’s the wrong song but then if like me right now that song is “We fight love” by Q-Tip, it can be the best thing ever.

After I caught the last 30 seconds of it on the radio whilst driving home one night it’s stuck with me, and rather generously I thought I’d let it get stuck on you too… Enjoy!
