I warned you I was having a Michael Jackson moment. I blame Spotify and their extensive Michael Jackson back catalogue.

Anyway I was listening to this… well for a few days actually but it seemed particularly poignant this morning when I came out to my frost covered car. I was actually scared to touch the handle lest the entire thing just shatter to pieces.

And given news of pending snow in London it seems there’ll be quite a few Moscow mornings this winter…

Weather matters aside this song obviously goes a lot deeper then referring to a winter chill. Just read these lyrics:

It’s possible I might post quite a bit of Michael Jackson in the near future. I seem to be having a bit of an MJ moment so you have been warned.

Anyway once again last night I found myself forced to drop whatever I was doing and dance wildly round my house. The blame is firmly placed on this track which shall of course be on repeat for the rest of the week and potentially my life. Enjoy.

When I first watched this video clip I thought “Wow these kids are vocally insane.” Then after watching the clip a second time around I began to think “hmm these kids look remarkably alike…”

It turns out I wasn’t witnessing a live a capella performance by some singing sextuplets but camera wizardry was indeed been involved in multiplying one Sam Tsui into six (with a Kurt Hugo beatboxing on the side).

So mystery solved and I am still impressed by the complex arrangement of the medley itself. Pretty remarkable.

Given the sad news of Michael Jackson’s death, I thought I’d share some footage of the good times.

I’ve already heard so much said about the impact he’s had on an entire generation and though opinions of him may have become divided later on in his life, noone can deny the adorably cute kid with a huge bag of talent that was Michael Jackson in the early days.

Aww you guys! All your messages were soooo lovely and it’s especially amazing to return from my break and be greeted by the landmark moment of 100 people publicly following Harlem Loves (I know there’s an additional number of secret followers too but we won’t tell)….

In ode to Michael Jackson’s arrival in the UK and the announcement of his last ever concert in London I thought I’d post this video…

It’s not because Billie Jean is my favourite song (Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough is…) but it’s the first Michael Jackson song I can remember that made a significant contribution to my life.

That is to say, it was the sole cause of my belief that paving stones will light up when you step on them… fact!

Or at least I believed it was fact and was subsequently confused when no matter how hard I stamped my foot it just wouldn’t happen. Given I was about 1 when the song first came out you’d have to forgive me for my naivety at the time, anyway here it is…
