Was immediately drawn to the glassware with the gorgeous typographic details and, the quirky desk and cabinet with the mix and match doors.

Few things I was naive about when I first moved out and have since come to my senses on…

1: Definitely need space for a table and chairs in the kitchen. It’s nice to be social when cooking

2: No matter how much of a chore mowing a lawn might be it’s always worth having a garden.

3: As far as it is humanly possible try and have a spare room

4: If I’m going to the trouble of remodeling my bathroom, I should definitely throw out the tub, get a shower and use the extra space for storage.

Anyway if you know anything about me by now you know I’m a sucker for white interiors so I loved the look of this apartment though it’s still missing an accent colour or two, maybe  a few more patterned textiles or bold prints. That said I really love the vintage wood features they’ve added.

Speaking of Fred and Friends I could honestly spend all day on their site. They’re brilliant!

All dishes and glasses, bottles, jars, cutlery and candles were from Ikea (Love that place). Table mats and coasters, table runner and picks (featured in jugs) were from Homebase. Place cards were homemade as were the butterflies made with a little punch we picked up from a craft show.

The New York based designer opened his home to House Beauitful and told them:

The way to stay happy when you’re living on top of one another is by ruthlessly editing — one thing in, one thing out. A place for everything, and everything in its place. It’s a difficult and daily battle, but we deal with it.

You should check out the interview the way he managed to re-organise the space and uncover room for extra storage is really pretty cool.

It’s such a small simple piece but I’ve officially got a thing for striped seating. What a great find by Jamie Drake.

First stop is the black and white sofa. Vintage build wrapped in a bold modern print. It. is. gorgeous.

Then just look at those those two pink chairs with the zebra cushion… then that wall colour… Oh be still my beating heart… No seriously be still… any more excitement will only end in tragedy.

My imagination immediately drifted off into dreams of stacking them into a huge pile and jumping into their cosiness… ahem… I meant using a delicate touch to place them with lady-like sophistication onto an elegant sofa

This room is so incredibly pink it’s almost frightening. Yet I can’t deny I’m drawn to it’s elegance…

I initially visited his site just to find some interior images and pick a few favourites but I was quickly tempted to post his entire portfolio (I might share some of his fashion work another time).

Fortunately, I’ve managed to narrow the list down to a few highlights which I picked for their quirky qualities and inviting details. For some reason I would just really love to have a nose around some of these rooms.
