Pink Teddy Bear adidas trainers? Surely the perfect antidote to masculine gladiators and, hard and heavy clogs no?

And not only that but these trainers are the answer to so many other dilemmas we face? I mean they could totally ease the process of letting go of your favourite teddy? Plus it’s a great way to ensure your feet look sufficiently friendly between manicures and… well… then there’s the um….. err the pinkness. I mean look at that fluffy pinkness what more could you possibly want?

In the meantime I wonder who’s music video these might turn up in?

The Oddity: Dog Mansions

It’s been a while since I did an oddity post but the people behind these Dog Mansions obviously thought one was well overdue and have made themselves a suitable subject.

Costing approximately €1,900-€2,950 (£1615 – £2500) these ‘mansions’ (available in 4 styles) come with break-proof glass, varnished wood, serial numbers and a certificate (is that the dog equivalent of a deed?). You can even opt to personalise the house with the dogs name or add Swarovski crystals.

Well I suppose after a day spent being pampered at Diva Dogs they could hardly expect to feel at home in a kennel now could they???

I present to you the Do Hit Chair. A stainless steel box shipped with a long-handled, wide-head hammer for you to literally wack it into shape. Designed by Marijn van der Poll.

I guess it could be fun to make but I’m not sure it’s entirely comfy to sit on???

I am actually dying of laughter. If I hear one more joke I won’t be able to breath and just like that! No more Harlem.

I tell you, should there be a report of death by laughter, 73 year-old Mr Halpern Snr is the culprit.

I was reading on BBC news about how his pearls of wisdom (tweeted by his son Justin) will form the basis for a new US comedy from the makers of Will and Grace.

I don’t know if that’s wise I mean he’s already putting the health of his 700,000 twitter followers at risk with these gems…

“Oh please, you practically invented lazy. People should have to call you and ask for the rights to lazy before they use it.”

“Just pay the parking ticket. Don’t be so outraged. You’re not a freedom fighter in the civil rights movement. You double parked.”

So the question is will Rihanna’s ‘Run This Town’ sunglasses (aka the Barracuda by A-morir) take off like Kanye’s shutter glasses? Whilst the real deal cost $350 I wonder just how long it will be before they’re being sold in various neon shades down the market?

FYI my friend said the shutter glasses gave her a headache so who knows what these’ll do to you.

The Oddity: Chocolate Inhaler

Sorry for the lack of posts I have been quite unwell and am on strict bed rest but was cheered up by this little discovery.

I haven’t done one of these oddity posts in a while but this definitely makes the grade.

Le Whif is apparently the new way of enjoying chocolate without the calories by inhaling it. Yes you read right, inhaling chocolate is the future.

Or at least it is according to Harvard professor and lead inventor of Le Whif, David Edwards, who created the device as a “mix of culinary art and aerosol science”. Aerosol science… yummy.

Anyway, the Le Whif (makes me chuckle everytime) comes in four flavours mint chocolate, raspberry chocolate, mango chocolate, and milk chocolate each costing 1.80 EUR.

The exciting news is there are plans for even more “culinary innovations that involve eating by breathing”. Sounds like it’d make for one very interesting dinner party.

You’re not still giving yourself a pat on the back are you? Seriously dahling, you should really get a self applauding machine for all your self-congratulatory needs.

This remarkable piece of machinery was designed by British designer Martin Smith for Laikingland and comes in currant red, signal green, traffic orange, graphic black and chalk white.

The cost? A mere £195 which when you think about it, is more than outweighed by the fact that at any time all your amazing work can finally be recognised by the simple push of a button!

The Oddity: Ketchup as Jewelry

Here we all are thinking that ketchup dribbling down your shirt makes you look like a hot mess but oh no no…

To jewelry designer Yunju Lee a ketchup stain is such a beautiful sight it’s worth capturing and remaking in silver and ruby red enamel.

Yunju Lee is so inspired by our everyday mishaps he’s recreated everything from a milk moustache to a gold collar with lipstick smear included.

Apparently, “the worthless and unpleasant stain which we find in our daily lives. Can be transformed into the most valuable and fascinating jewelry.”

The Oddity: Obama O’s

I’ve had to start a whole new category for some of the more random things I’ve come across…

My most recent find is Obama O’s, a cereal which claims to have “hope in every bowl”.

Whilst all the world seems to be falling into recession, Obama merchandise looks like a booming industry and these little O’s have already proved to be a collector’s item.
