Yolanda Adams, Martina McBride, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson and Florence Welch come together and perform a medley of Aretha Franklin’s hits including Ain’t No Way, Until You Come Back To Me and Respect.
Christina does a stellar performance on one of my favourite songs, Ain’t No Way. Honestly it was pretty great.
Florence (of Florence and the Machine) surprised me and totally held her own on Think. Totally had to give that girl props. What’s more is her talking voice is a complete contrast to her singing voice, all soft and whispy, amazing.
To be honest I just couldn’t wait for Jennifer Hudson to step in so was truly appreciative of her performance on Respect.
Yolanda of course brought in an Aretha Franklin gospel number Spirit in the Dark before they all rounded things off with Sister’s Are Doin’ It for Themselves.
