The Root’s album ‘How I Got Over’ has been accompanying my working hours today. Along with The Day and a few other tracks this is one of my favourite. Just so motivating.
This live performance is so energised. Makes me want to go ‘hard in the paint’* which is perfect as I have a ton of work to do *marches off purposefully*.
*Hard in the paint – A basketball phrase recently explained to me by my bud @jossmart and I promised to use in a sentence. Apparently refers to playing hard in the painted area under the basketball hoop which is of course totally the same as me shuffling through my ever growing to do list…
