The Experience: Work vs St Lucia Jazz Festival

This post is for all the people who have to work between Christmas and New Years. Yep, I too am back in the office and to cure myself of the misery of such a fact, I thought I’d remind myself why it was worth using up all my holiday in the earlier part of the year.

In May 2008 I had the pleasure of traveling with five of the greatest girls I know and watching Angie Stone, Wyclef, and Dionne Warwick perform at the St Lucia Jazz Festival. Amazingly enough our highlight of seeing Dionne Warwick live and up close has been captured on YouTube with shots of me and my friends waving enthusiastically at the front as she sings That’s What Friends Are For.

It’s definitely a clip to encourage all others who are at work today, as the song says, “keep smiling” and “keep shining”. Yep, we can do this people… say it with me: “I will not spend the day clock watching, I will not spend the day clock watching, I will…”
